Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data Landers collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Data We Collect
We collect: (a) Account data you provide — name, email, password hash, payment details; (b) Operational data — vehicle type, routes taken, landing spots booked, device identifiers; (c) Location data — GPS coordinates when you use navigation features with location permission enabled; (d) Usage telemetry — clicks, feature usage, session duration, error logs.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: provide and operate the Landers platform; process payments and send transactional emails; generate anonymised aggregate intelligence used to improve route quality; send product updates and marketing (with consent); comply with legal obligations; detect and prevent fraud or safety incidents.
3. Data Sharing
We share data with: trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. Stripe for payments, AWS for infrastructure) under strict data processing agreements; regulatory or law enforcement authorities when legally required; no third-party advertisers. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Retention
Personal account data is retained for the life of your account plus 2 years, or as required by law. Anonymised operational data may be retained indefinitely for research. You may request deletion at any time from Account Settings or by emailing privacy@landers.io.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. Submit requests to privacy@landers.io — we respond within 30 days. EU/EEA residents have additional rights under GDPR (see our GDPR page).
6. Security
We implement 256-bit TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for admin access, and regular third-party penetration testing. Report vulnerabilities to security@landers.io.
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and analyse usage. See our Cookie Policy for full details and opt-out options.
8. Children's Privacy
Landers is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact privacy@landers.io and we will delete it promptly.
