GDPR & Data Protection Compliance

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Our primary data protection obligations are governed by Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) — we do not currently have users located in the EU/EEA, where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legally applies. We nonetheless align our data handling practices with core GDPR principles as a global best-practice benchmark, and are prepared to apply GDPR in full should we begin serving EU/EEA users. This page sets out our obligations as data controller and your rights as a data subject.

1. Data Controller Identity

Landing for Mobile Apps, registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt, is the data controller for personal data processed through the Lander Folk platform.

2. Legal Bases for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases: (a) contractual necessity, to provide the service you request; (b) legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement; (c) consent, for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; (d) legal obligation, for tax and regulatory record-keeping.

3. Your Data Protection Rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to: access your data; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data where legally permitted; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. These rights mirror the core data subject rights guaranteed under GDPR. Submit requests to privacy@landersfolk.com. We respond within 30 days.

4. International Data Transfers

Some of our infrastructure and service providers may process data outside Egypt. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take appropriate contractual and technical steps to keep it protected in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law.

5. Retention Periods

Account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years. Transactional records: 7 years (legal obligation). Anonymised usage statistics: indefinitely. Location history: 90 days rolling, then aggregated. You may request early deletion for data not subject to a legal retention obligation.

6. Automated Decision-Making

Certain features, such as fraud checks and pricing suggestions, involve automated processing. You have the right to request human review of any automated decision that significantly affects you. Contact privacy@landersfolk.com to request a review.

7. Data Protection Contact

Our privacy team can be reached at privacy@landersfolk.com, or by post: Landing for Mobile Apps, [Company Address], Cairo, Egypt.

8. Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC), the authority responsible for enforcing the Personal Data Protection Law.
