GDPR Compliance

Landers is fully compliant with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This page sets out our obligations as data controller and your rights as an EU/EEA data subject.
1. Data Controller Identity
Landers International Ltd., registered in Ireland (CRO: 123456), is the data controller for personal data processed through the Landers platform. EU Representative: Landers EU GmbH, Mainzer Landstraße 50, 60325 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
2. Legal Bases for Processing
We process personal data under the following GDPR legal bases: (a) Article 6(1)(b) — contractual necessity, to provide the service you subscribed to; (b) Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement; (c) Article 6(1)(a) — consent, for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; (d) Article 6(1)(c) — legal obligation, for tax and regulatory records.
3. Your GDPR Rights
As an EU/EEA resident you have the right to: access your data (Art. 15); rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16); erasure ('right to be forgotten') where grounds apply (Art. 17); restriction of processing (Art. 18); data portability in a machine-readable format (Art. 20); object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Submit requests to dpo@landers.io. We respond within 30 days.
4. International Data Transfers
Some of our infrastructure providers are based outside the EU/EEA (primarily the United States). All such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR. A copy of our transfer impact assessments is available on request.
5. Retention Periods
Account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years. Transactional records: 7 years (legal obligation). Anonymised usage statistics: indefinitely. Location history: 90 days rolling, then aggregated. You may request early deletion for data not subject to a legal retention obligation.
6. Automated Decision-Making
Our AI risk scoring and route optimisation involve automated processing. Under Article 22 GDPR, you have the right not to be subject to decisions with significant legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. 7. Data Protection Officer

8. Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) at dataprotection.ie, or with the supervisory authority of your EU member state of habitual residence.
