Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This policy explains how Lander Folk uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, what data they collect, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our platform. They help us maintain sessions, remember preferences, and understand how users interact with the product. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.
2. Essential Cookies
These are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They include session tokens (keep you logged in), CSRF protection cookies (prevent cross-site request forgery), and load-balancing cookies. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using Lander Folk.
3. Preference Cookies
These remember your settings — including your language preference (EN/AR), selected map region, dashboard layout, and notification preferences. Disabling them means you will need to reconfigure your preferences on every visit.
4. Analytics Cookies
We use aggregate, anonymised analytics to understand feature usage, identify performance bottlenecks, and prioritise development. Our analytics provider operates within strict data processing agreements.
5. Marketing Cookies
With your explicit consent, we may use cookies to personalise re-engagement communications and measure the effectiveness of campaigns on partner networks. You can withdraw consent at any time from Cookie Preferences.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some features (e.g. embedded maps, payment checkout) invoke third-party services that set their own cookies. We do not control these. Refer to the privacy policies of our mapping and payment providers for details.
7. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies in three ways: (a) your browser settings — most allow you to block or delete all/specific cookies; (b) the Lander Folk Cookie Preferences panel, accessible from the footer; (c) browser privacy extensions. Note that blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and core features.
8. Cookie Consent
On first visit we display a consent banner for non-essential cookies where required by applicable law, including Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020). Your choice is stored for 12 months. You may change your preference at any time.
